Demons come in three variants: Weak, Normal, and Strong. The variant is determined at spawn time, with weaker demons appearing far more frequently.
Spawn Distribution¶
- Weak -- 70% of spawns

Breakdown by Variant¶
Weak Demons are the most common encounter. They go down fast with a Nichirin sword and only use basic melee abilities. Their speed is the highest of the three variants, so they close distance quickly.
Normal Demons add Blood Slash -- a ranged poison projectile that forces you to dodge at distance. With higher HP and regen, they require sustained pressure. Notably larger and harder to knock around.
Strong Demons are rare and dangerous. They access all four Blood Arts including Blood Area, the most punishing AoE in the game. Combined with fast regen, high armor, and knockback resistance, these fights are wars of attrition. Don't engage one without proper gear.
For details on each Blood Art, see Demon Blood Arts.
Loot Drops¶
All demon variants share the same loot table:
| Drop | Amount | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Rotten Flesh | 0-2 | Always |
| Blood Gem | 1 | 25% |
